the tale of the tape

Seemingly overnight, around the third week of April during lockdown in London, red and white striped tape became ubiquitous across the English capital. At the time, a city-wide stay-at-home order meant Londoners could leave the house only for essential reasons. The caution tape was meant to discourage the use of public facilities.
