Southall is a suburban district of West London, England. The town has one of the biggest concentrations of South Asian people outside the Indian sub-continent. Sometimes known as 'Little India,' over 55% of Southall's population of around 70,000 is Indian/Pakistani, with less that 10% being White British. 

At the heart of the town is Villiers High School. The school has a very wide ethnic diversity with 25 groups represented, Indian, Pakistani and Black-Somali the three highest. 45 different first spoken languages are listed among the 1208 pupils on the school role. 

Laiba, a Pakistani Muslim and Robyn, an Indian Sikh are both 2nd generation migrant girls and pupils at Villiers High School. They describe their friendship as close. 

The project was co-financed by LIMONKRAFT, a Spanish non-profit association and the European Commission's DAPHNE Programme.
